Claiming Ben's Victory

Our son Benjamin was diagnosed with Leukemia on August 20th 2009. The Bible teaches us in the Old Testament when the Israelites were preparing for battle they would claim their victory in the name of the Lord. Their Faith was so strong they would celebrate the Victory before the day of the battle. It is from this we draw strength, claiming our son's victory in the name of the Lord. We ask you to join us in this Claim and pray for us as often as you feel lead by the Lord.

Amazing Coincidence

I had to come down to post that the neatest thing happened just now. Dr. Wilson came in to see Matt and I. He is an endocronologist here at Phoenix Children's Hospital. He is from Matt's home town in Newton, MS. His cousin grew up in the house that Matt grew up in. He was a very sweet kind man who answered a lot of questions for us today (Ben will have to see a endocronologist later on during his treatment) . Another way God is letting us know he is with us. :)

This will be a happy birthday! It's the beginning of a new appreciation of everything the Lord has done for us and given us. "uncle" is the name we use on our niece's missionary blog and don't know how to change it. But that's ok because we are going to pray for Ben as if he were our very own nephew. We will be praying for Ben and your whole family. We used to live in Newton. Are friends of the Beardens...knew Matthew when he was much younger. (And grew up with Donnie Wilson.) We will be praying for strength and comfort for you and the family and healing for Ben. Our God is an Almighty God! Will be checking the blog for more news.
